Everglades Lumber Exchange (ELX) is an independently operated materials sourcing marketplace. It does not claim to represent or be affiliated with any lumber supplier using a similar name. Contact each supplier directly to confirm its identity, current operations and capabilities.
Why not sell or dropship lumber directly?
Large-format materials have local pricing, stock and delivery constraints. ELX starts by reviewing requests and researching possible suppliers. Any future commerce or referral model will be tested only after demand is proven.
What does Lumber Scout actually do?
Lumber Scout creates a draft summary and groups common material categories. It may use a server-side AI service when configured or a local keyword review. It does not verify specifications, prices, stock or code compliance, and it never sends a quote request to suppliers.
How do suppliers get matched to my request?
Supplier research is handled manually while ELX validates the network. We consider product fit and delivery area, then confirm possible matches with you before sharing contact information.
Can this expand beyond South Florida?
Yes. The Everglades positioning gives the launch a geographic story, but the software layer can support additional metro directories over time. South Florida is the density-first market.
What does it cost buyers to use ELX?
Submitting a quote request is currently free. Suppliers set and confirm product prices, freight, taxes and payment terms. ELX does not take payment for materials. If we offer paid sourcing support later, we will send you its fee in writing before you accept.
